He stated, “I’m not going to upset the people of New Zealand… but please, please as a nation can we just buy stuff from this country.” His appeal aligns with the ethos of the Great British Food Awards, which aim to promote British ingredients.

Griffiths, alongside other esteemed judges like Raymond Blanc OBE and Adam Handling, will evaluate the entries based on quality and innovation. Previous winners, such as Firefly BBQ and Marshfield Farm Ice Cream, have set high standards for this year’s competition.
