Prime Video Announces New Releases and Promotions
Prime Video has announced significant updates for its streaming service, including the premiere of the fifth and final season of The Boys on April 8, 2026, and the debut of a new comedy series titled Bait, which will be available starting today, March 25, 2026.
Bait is created by and stars Riz Ahmed, who plays the character Shah Latif, a struggling actor navigating the chaotic world of auditions. The series consists of six episodes that unfold over four days, showcasing a blend of awkward industry satire and character-driven comedy.
The show is produced by Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios, and the recently released trailer has generated buzz for its unique comedic approach. Ahmed’s character is depicted as facing a pivotal moment in his career, with a once-in-a-lifetime audition on the horizon.
In addition to these new releases, Prime Video is offering a promotional deal for subscribers interested in expanding their viewing options. Until March 21, 2026, Prime Video subscribers can add Mubi to their streaming lineup for a discounted rate of $7.49 per month for three months, a significant reduction from the regular monthly cost of $14.99.
This promotion allows subscribers to save a total of $22.50 over the three-month period, addressing concerns about rising subscription costs, often referred to as “streamflation.” As one source noted, “It’s no secret that streamflation has priced out tons of subscribers.”
Mubi, known for its curated selection of classic and independent films, caters to cinephiles and enhances the content available to Prime Video users. This collaboration aims to attract more viewers by providing a diverse range of film options alongside Prime Video’s original programming.
The combination of new series and promotional offers reflects Prime Video’s strategy to retain and grow its subscriber base in a competitive streaming landscape. As the service continues to evolve, it remains focused on delivering quality content and value to its audience.
With the premiere of Bait and the final season of The Boys on the horizon, viewers have much to look forward to in the coming weeks on Prime Video.
