On March 9, 2026, Lipa School was closed following a bomb threat, while Chesterfield High School entered a temporary lockdown after receiving a threatening email. The threats, which included claims of planting bombs inside and outside various schools, have raised alarms among parents and school officials. In response to the threats, parents were advised against collecting their children from schools, although many chose to take their children home regardless of the guidance.
