Falkirk Football Club has announced that Nicky Hogarth has signed a two-year contract extension, keeping him with the team until June 2028.
Hogarth, who joined Falkirk from Nottingham Forest’s youth team in 2023, has made 44 appearances last season and has played four times this season. His performance has garnered praise from management, with John McGlynn stating, “He’s shown everyone that he is more than capable of playing in the Premiership.”
The goalkeeper expressed his enthusiasm about the extension, saying, “Being from the area and knowing what this club means to the supporters makes it really special to represent Falkirk.” This contract extension comes as Falkirk looks to build on its recent success, having won the Scottish Championship title last season.
In a related development, Falkirk is set to host St Mirren on March 21, 2026, in the William Hill Premiership. Tickets for the match are priced at £25 for adults, £19 for concessions, £13 for those under 18, and £5 for children under 12.
Meanwhile, the club is also facing challenges off the pitch. Thomas Wild, a 22-year-old from Falkirk, was last seen on March 7, 2026. His family has expressed growing concerns for his well-being, as he was last in contact with them on March 8.
Authorities have discovered personal items and clothing belonging to Wild on a beach in Dalgety Bay, prompting police to conduct searches in the area and inquiries in Falkirk and Grangemouth. Inspector Simon Kinyua stated, “Thomas was last in contact with his family on Sunday, March 8, and they are becoming increasingly concerned for his well-being.”
As the community rallies around both the club’s achievements and the search for Wild, the focus remains on supporting those affected during this time.
