“She’s ready for the red suit,” said Brooks Nader, expressing her excitement for her role in the upcoming reboot of Baywatch. Nader, 29, is set to play Selene, the Captain of the Zuma Beach lifeguards, in a new series that is scheduled to launch on Fox as part of the 2026-27 television season.
The original Baywatch series, which ran for 11 years, featured notable actors such as David Hasselhoff and Yasmine Bleeth. The reboot aims to capture the essence of the classic series while introducing new characters and storylines. Alongside Nader, David Chokachi will reprise his role as Cody Madison, while Shay Mitchell will portray Trina, a former lawyer turned lifeguard, and Hassie Harrison will take on the role of Nat, a former foster child turned Olympic athlete.
In a separate but related event, Alexandra Paul, known for her role in the original Baywatch, was recently arrested during a protest at Ridglan Farms in Wisconsin. Paul, 62, was among 20 protesters attempting to free beagles from a breeding facility. The protest resulted in the rescue of 31 beagles, although 8 were intercepted by police.
Sheriff Kalvin Barrett commented on the situation, stating, “The Dane County Sheriff’s Office understands how deeply people feel for the beagles at Ridglan Farms, and we respect their right to express that passion through peaceful protests.” He added, “Our role is to keep everyone safe and to respond when unlawful activity takes place.”
Paul has a history of animal rights activism, which includes previous arrests related to her efforts. The Dane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that all of the animals taken during the protest have been recovered and none were injured.
As the new Baywatch series prepares for its debut, fans are eager to see how it will pay homage to the original while also bringing fresh talent and stories to the screen. Nader’s involvement, along with the return of familiar faces like Chokachi, adds to the anticipation surrounding the show’s release.
Details remain unconfirmed regarding any additional cast members or plotlines, but the excitement for the revival of Baywatch continues to build as filming progresses in Los Angeles.
