LEGO Tintin Moon Rocket Set to Launch in 2026
The LEGO Ideas Tintin Moon Rocket is set to be released on April 1, 2026, featuring a total of 1,283 pieces and priced at $159.99. This highly anticipated set is inspired by the classic Tintin comic books Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon.
The rocket boasts a distinctive red-and-white chequered design and includes six minifigures: Tintin, Captain Haddock, Professor Calculus, Thomson, Thompson, and Snowy. A notable feature of the set is a hidden control room that allows builders to recreate the moment Tintin and his crew first saw Earth from space.
The design of the Tintin Moon Rocket was created by fan designer Alexis Dos Santos, who submitted it through the LEGO Ideas program. The design garnered 10,000 votes and received approval from the LEGO Ideas Review Board, highlighting the strong community support for this project.
Targeted at adults aged 18 and older, the set aims to appeal to both LEGO enthusiasts and Tintin fans alike. Pre-orders for the set are currently available through LEGO.com and LEGO Stores.
Alexis Dos Santos expressed his excitement about the project, stating, “Creating the Tintin Moon Rocket has been an incredible journey. I hope the build sparks the same sense of imagination and adventure that inspired me from the very beginning.”
The LEGO Group, founded in 1932 in Billund, Denmark, has a long history of creating imaginative play experiences. The Tintin Moon Rocket set continues this tradition by merging the worlds of LEGO and Tintin.
As the release date approaches, enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting more details about the set’s features and availability. Details remain unconfirmed.
