“There was no winner of the Lotto jackpot. In total, over 73,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including one winner of the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €46,511,” stated a spokesperson for the National Lottery.
On Saturday, March 7, one Irish Lotto player narrowly missed out on the €2,693,222 jackpot, losing by just one number. The winning numbers for the draw were 14, 24, 33, 34, 37, 43, with a bonus number of 15.
The Lotto Plus 1 jackpot of €1 million went unclaimed, although 19 players matched five numbers, each receiving €500. Similarly, the Lotto Plus 2 jackpot of €250,000 saw no winner, but again, 19 players will receive €250 for matching five numbers.
Additionally, the Irish Lotto Raffle awarded €500 to 81 winners, providing some consolation amidst the absence of a jackpot winner.
National Lottery and South Africa Lotto
In the National Lottery, a £3.8 million jackpot was available on the same day, alongside a £500,000 jackpot in the Thunderball draw.
Meanwhile, in South Africa, R59.5 million in jackpots was up for grabs in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws. The winning Lotto numbers for South Africa were 04, 13, 14, 20, 22, 47, with a bonus number of 29. Lotto entries in South Africa cost R5 per board, including VAT.
Lotto draws take place at 8pm every Wednesday and Saturday, and players are encouraged to participate in upcoming draws for a chance at significant prizes.
